Getting Rid of the Junk

I recently found out that two people from my high school, who did drugs have had two very differing experiences while trying to get off. Both of these kids from high school were some of the more serious dopers.

Tim (not her real name) spent a week kicking the habit. He goes around and talks with people about the detox program and what he went through. To be honest, hearing him talk about the detox process would be more then enough to keep me off drugs.

Then there is Jim (not real name) he went through rapid detox program. Now I had no clue what that was until I saw it on TV. Essentially it is a painless process where you go under the mask and are out for several hours. His opinion was the longer the better up to about 8 hours or so. This allows you to get your body rid of the junk that is in your body.

Jim talks about the process in good and positive terms. He was thrilled with the process. The ability to overcome the physical addiction was great. He still needed help and counseling to stay off the drugs, drugs are also psychologically addicting. Most people need the help of others to stay off the drugs even though the body does not need them. Jim called me and asked me to help, which I did, as an accountability partner. Which really shocked me as I never did drugs. He called me every single day sometimes twice. He knew I was no nonsense and would not accept the least amount of thought on drugs. I am glad to say that Jim has been drug free for over a year. Jim really credits the rapid detox that helped him kick start his road to recovery.
