Working on History Website

I have been working getting our web directories in order so the server runs better. I am working on a history website for a friend and of course I am not being paid much at all. However, it will be nice little bullet on the ole resume.

In any case, when it is finally released I will let you all know where to go and to read, i am thinking that it will be really great.

Many people want outdoor fireplaces for the summer. I want one for the winter. I mean then you can go out and enjoy the really clear skies and look out upon the universe.

In the summer there is bugs and everything else and the sky does not seem nearly as crisp and in focus for looking at stars.

More Hijinks

One of the problems that I see with the health care is the basic support for the program and the bill by the American people? I feel that we need to keep our congresspeople as accountable as we would a security system. Why would someone try to do what a clear majority of American people do not want or even think we need.

Let me give you an example of the why this bill is bad.

Congress is exempted from this bill. This alone should tell us that it is a bad idea. If they really want to pass it why not a pilot case. Make congress live under the provisions of this bill for 10 years and see how good it is.

Relationships

I have started watching Sex Rehab. Which has given me some more insight into the population that I work with. More of the interelations rather then the Sex Rehab part. One of the issues is that drug rehab seems closely linked. As a matter of fact for many until the drugs are gone does the issue actually come to light.

What I find even scarier is the link to brain development and drug use. It seems that the same problems that smokers face on health are similar to drug use.

A look Forward

I wonder at many times, how the future will view us? I remember the movie Sleeper with Woody Allen. The premise is that a guy wakes up a 100 years in the future and there is all this stuff that they try to make sense of that is from the 1970s.

I mean tons of items from beer, to pool tables, to Kettlebell, to a stove and of course one of the funniest is always sex. As an example in demonlation man, which is a bad movie, in the future they show a virtual reality sex. And Sandra Bullok is repusled by the view of actual contact.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

I recently got back to California for a big visit that was only a few days. What amazed me more then anything was the way the downtown disney hotels have all changed. I mean Disneland it totally different. I wanted to go to DLand but did not have the time.

The whole area is all cleaned up and looks really nice. Good job Disney, Anaheim and of course the State of CA which cannot afford toliet paper anymore.

The Berlin Wall

One of things that amazes me is not that Obama or Hill-Bill likes a Myrtle beach golf trip. But the amount of revisionist history going on before our eyes.

This week is important for the falling of the Berlin Wall that happened 20 years ago.



People like Gorby tried to keep the wall in place. Yet today he is considered a hero. People who get no credit are Regean, Lady Thathcher and Pope John Paul II.



Regean recieves no mention for his hard work in bringing an end to the evil empire. I am so frazzled with the redoing of history that I want to scream! If it were not for Ronald Regean building up defense then we never would have had the fall of the Berlin Wall. This week. No mention.

Finding Old Stuff

The greatest thing to find when looking for dig sites is . . . are you ready . . . a garbage dump.

The reason for this is lots of people throw away important items. One easy way to find our current dumps in 1000 years will be cig butts as well as other items. Of course I wonder how electronic cigarette will fit into that situation.

So when you throw away items think that in 500 years, people will look and see your old throw aways and examine everything.

Vacation mmmmm

To go on vacation I am in a real need to do some fast weight loss. Esp since I am heading to So Cal. Which is the land of skinn people. I mean really skinny people. So I dropped 10 pounds in the past week.

Not such a bad deal, eh? Well at least I will look better in shorts and a bathing suit out on the beach.

She has so many wannabes and people who would be like her it is still amazing.

Marilyn lived only 36 years. She started work in a munitions factory during WWII. There a pict was taken of her.



With that photo little Norma Jean was on her way to fame and fortune and more. In my mind Marilyn Monroe symbolizes sexy and style. Marilyn was never an artificial christmas trees. Even today, she looks good in the clothes she wore. As they say, a great suit never goes out of style. And I think we can aay that whatever Marilyn Monroe wore, would never go out of stlyle.

Tuesday Game

I am sitting watching the last regular season game at the Metrodome. Talk about a good game. The bar is going crazy with hgh happiness.

The people are quite happpy now that the seventh inning has arrived.

My friend here called the sixth inning as the good inning. And then the Twins delivered.

Well Twins fans while I am rooting for you now, come the second round with the Angels forget it.

The Missing Chian

When the day had come to an end, I walked myself across the ceramic tiles in the entry way. I knew I was home. I had hit my first hole in one today. Nothing would be bad.

That was me today. I finally aced a hole. The drive was just perfect and hitting dead center the chains went clink the disc went into the basket.

What a great feeling.

Finding Truth About THings

Ready, set, diet pills review are needed.

I have been trying some of differing diet pills over the past month. I have been trying to find the correct one for me,. And alas I have finally read some reviews and got some good answers.

Now if only modern history was that easy. One of the problems that I run into is that people think they know everything ther is to know about something if they lived through the event. Grrr. In many times nothing is further from the truth.

I have been trying to lose weight. I have found the best diet pills to help me lose weight. One thing that I found out is that you have to play and figure out which one is the correct one for you. My wife and I use differing ones.

It took me three times to find what I really needed.

Making Connections.

I just saw a great episode of CSI New York. A guy who is a collector tries to sell some STUFF REMOVED that are in a pendent. As it turns out the Jew who was selling the diamonds was nazi who pretneded to be a jewish survivor with numbers on his arm.

The episode was one of the best I have seen in a long time. I was watching it and at the end tears are coming down my eyes.

Great episode. The first time I heard one of the stories was in a book called the Mask of Abraham Morgenstern. Good book.

Old Wars in Mod Time.

I often wonder how things would change if old wars would have modern items. As an example, what if the American Revolution happened in modern times with mod weapons. Think of Valley Forge with the men, including one of relatives, wearing UGG boots to stay warm.

The problem is that most of the battle or wars that were upsets would have failed. So the American Revolution would not have happened.

Finding the odd

One of the more intresting things that I have seen is a real stone sink that was in a house that was built in the early 1800s. The house was still mostly preserved with orignal items. It looked like some stones that had some mortar between them to hold in water. However most of the mortar was gone, decayed over time.

Life On Mars

I have been watching a TV show called Life on Mars. The premise is that a cop goes back in time from 2008 to 1973. I wonder how accurate it is of the time period.

While there are no free online backup and it really shows how far technology has come. There are funny questions like, who would want to always carry a phone with them. The person has to deal with a lack of tools.

What is odd, is that he says he feels like he is on differning planet.

Now that we are looking at many of the things that will help with a fat burner on the body. I have been trying to burn more and more fat to lose some weight. After all we have to lose wight by the holidays.

Of course I wonder how history is going to look at all of us. After all we are trying to lose lots of weight for whatever reason. Of course doing some exercise will always help.

Well now that I am back from an orlando vacations type of rest, it is time to get ready for school again.

What a great two weeks I had away from everything. My number one thing to do was to play disc golf every single day. Nice way to spend time.

I have often wondered what sort of orange nj dentist fashioned Washington's teeth? I have often wondered how long it took, we hear that they were uncomfortable, were adjustments made?

Did he have more then one pair of teeth?
What maintains was done on the teeth?

I mean for real, inquiring minds of a historical nature want to know.

Of course what would have been really funny . . . if the teeth were made out of the wood from a Cherry Tree.

Walking Around Throwing Things

Recently I tried taking some phosphacore to lose weight and well not to bad. I also did some pretty serious walking also which I think helped. Of course disc golf in Mitchell SD would also help but who am I to complain.

Of course when I went throwing yesterday the bugs were nasty and I mean nasty.

Looking at TV Ads

I am finding history to be an odd thing. Seems that history changes over time. I sort of paid attention to stuff when growing up. And one change I noticed was with the advertising of wieght loss products. They used to only be in the TV guide. I always remember seeing the ads. Older middle aged women looking frumpy then all of sudden in a Bikini and looking a lot better and 20 years younger. Then they showed up on TV.

Now they are everywhere. Just and odd thing. Little things that change.

Old Time Videos

One of my favorite books that I read was about time travel. There were wars going on trying to change history. The first idea was to go back in time with a camcorders and to go back and video the resurrection of Christ.

Which really brings up the good question. What event would you want to video so we can know for sure.

The funny part is I am not sure what event I would want to video.

Losing Weight for fun

One of the odd things I think that we will find in the future is diet pills that have exisited here at this place and time. After all people in many parts of the world do not need it. But here in America we do.

In the book, Supertoys Last All Summer which is the basis for the movie A.I. the people had developed a robot that would eat the correct amount of food so the calories would not enter your system. Now that would be a great idea.

In any case right here and now we need the diet pills.

Changes In Past and Future

As history ebbs and flows thought out time we often look at today as an odd reflection of the past and a guiding light for the future, even though it is distorted. As an example: finding some top rated diet pills takes work.

I know, I know, bringing the two in together seems odd. However, medical opinion changes almost as much as history. It is not that things actually change, we learn more and more information which changes our outlook.

WWI and Kansas City.

I just got back from WWI Museum in Kansas City. What a great place. I will posting picts that I took with This Camera while I was there.

IF you ever wanted to know something about World War I then this is the place to go. We ended up spending about 7 hours there and missed at least on exhibit. The older halls with the art work is just awesome.

Collecting Items.

With all the history items I have been collecting over the years, I am thinking of getting a home alarm systems. I have a number of items that I really have and like. Many of them have great value to me, many of these are not very expensive.

The expense of the item is related to the cost of gathering and finding the items. Have 100s of dollars worth of coins. The coins are quite valuable. Though most are not very valuable. The value is from number of coins I have.

Playing Hard.

I have been playing a lot of disc golf in recent weeks. It is something I really enjoy and walking nearly a mile a day helps my fat burners work harder and better.

With the fat burning now working overtime I am losing extra weight which is always a good thing. I am expecting (and hoping) to drop another 20 pounds next month in June.

Cold War Readings

I have been looking at some differing books recently. While the kindle is now an iphone accessories section. I have been wandering through Amazon for good books. The first one is called In Confidence: Moscow's Ambassador to Six Cold War Presidents. The author was the Ambassador to the United States from Kennedy to Ronaldus Magnus.

The second one seems to be along the idea of general history. And it is called, Inside the Kremlin's Cold War: From Stalin to Krushchev.

Well I would highly suggest that you go through other places to find good info from the Cold War. I personally love the cold war era and find it fascinating. Have a most happy day.

Old Buildings

I was just looking at some old pictures of Heritage USA which was shut down in the early 90s. What amazed me was how bad everything went so fast.

Everything is bad and seem to being going back to nature. From the weeds at the Westgate to the green swimming pool, the whole thing is very odd to look at.

Well according to that recent show it will takes about 50K years or so for earth to get rid of most infulances of man.

As it turns out, I think they are correct.

Auld Lang Syne

I was recently talking with an old friend from high school who spent some serious time in drug rehab and is now wanting to move forward.

She wants to be teacher and needs to go back to school to become a certified teacher. I of course suggested WGU for her education. She can do the work in from scratch in about 3 years if she works hard.

Reforms.

One of the problems with copyright and patent is that items like barcode scanners were developed in 1940s did not come to fruition till the 1980s.

Most people do not know about this, but this is the way of the patent community. The government makes it so easy to hide something and then wait for it till later to emerge after someone has developed and marketed it. Wow and look what happened the people who developed the solution, have to give up rights and loss of money.

We are in dire need of copyright and patent reform.

I often wonder how we will be judged by history. Somewehre between our obesion for what we call fairness, our diet craze with items like phenphedrine, and dividedness of the country.

This country is more divided then ut has ever been, since I have been alive. This includes the 60s which seemed so divided. THe problem is the leadership in the country. Of course I am sure that will palce me on DHS list as a domestic terrorist.

School and Future.

I am working on finding the right university classes and courses by subject for history that is online.

there are so many options. where there are the most options is for the M.Ed programs. Why you would want one is at best confusing me. I am almost settled on the MLS (Master of Liberal Studies) with a concentration of 21 units in history at Fort Hays State.

Truth and Fiction

One of the problems with history is trying to seperate truth and the not so truth. Many people are calling this historical revisionism. However it is like using best weight loss supplements as compared to a starvation diet. One loses weight both ways, just one is healthy and starving is not.

We often need to try to figure out what is what. This upsets many people when we find that FDR was not as great as we thought. Or worse yet, Lincoln is not the great president as most people think.

McD and Money

One of the better books I have read was on McDonalds and Ray Croc the unauthorized story. This book talks about how Ray and his early franchises made a mint.

One of the striking items is that those who made cups and napkins also made a mint. Sort of weird when you think about it. I mean selling paper supplies from a single vendor . . . all I could say is mmmmm cash. I guess that it would pay to have a friend named Ray Croc who discovered the McD magic (and brothers) down in Santa Barbra CA.

Mind you, i have no problem with people making money. As a matter of fact I want all people to make as much money as they can. This is a free country and no person or government should tell someone how much or how little money they can make.

The requirements to have car insurance is an odd thing. In CA people had to have it because of all the people running around without it. Then it got so bad in they required to have reform. Like most reform measures it went into the toliet. People always make mistakes so what else is new.

Really Funny At the Moment.

I have been thinking, while reading Democracy in America, which is a great book by the way. I will be commenting more on Democracy in America here later on. Well my dog was in her pet beds next to me all snuggled down. When I burst out laughing.

Something about that stuck me as really funny. As my son is getting ready for date number one.

Buying now

I had a friend who was complaining about the price of PC and Mac memory. I gently told him the price of nearly a 1000 for a mb of ram just a few years ago.

I mean I laugh when 2GB costs under 100. I mean 4gb for less then 150 or so.

Now with inflation hanging around the corner it may be time to buy. It is to the point I am telling people to buy stuff now.

Arguing the President.

Wow did I get on a fun discussion of history today. Again it is hard being the smartest person in the room.

I felt about half way through that I wanted an Orlando vacations, just to get out of there.

It was 12 on 1 and I was the one. Of course it helps when history is my thing. I think that sometimes I should not be so harsh on some of the presidents and some of the stuff that they have done.

AI the book

One movie that I sort of liked was AI. The people did not need weight loss pill. This was of course called in a book, Electric Toys Dream All Summer. They had these little robots in the tummy that would eat all the extra calories. The advantage here is that you can eat whatever you want and not gain weight. That would be so nice.

I like having plants in my classroom. Right now, I have a wonderful bamboo in the room. I am hoping to start a Japanese Magnolia trees and then move them later. I have to confess I like trying just about anything. The plants in the room always make it niver and happier in the room and I do not need to worry about them. I have a wonderful window to set them in so they will grow.

Burning Down The House

One of the problems that we have today is smoking in the house or while we are out.

We often do not pay attention to the problems of today's lighting and for that you should be glad.

What are the problems today, a bulb burned out.

What were the problems 150 years ago. Smoke, soot, explosions, gas, and many other items. Think about this for a moment. Only 150 years ago everyone used gas a the source for lighting the house.

Then you die. Today, you change a light bulb.

Who wants to turn back the clock?

Making Tracks

Looking at the beach, seems to be a nice place to be on vacation. I am looking at a number of places to go and vacation.

This summer looks like it will be a good vacation year. Why? Lack of people traveling and discounts for people.
