Here is a really cool map that is ocean centric map. I amazed at how cool this map is. I love looking at odd maps that are fun.

Mayans

Well me start by saying that the Mayan Calendar ending means nothing whatsoever.
I mean nothing will happen at all.

I mean we may be busy doing Car wraps in Virginia. I do suggest that you do whatever it is that you will do on Mayan Calendar end day. I have been teaching for several years not to worry about Mayan Cal. Just weird day. Have a great day.

This does not happen often.

Well I have a set of AZ Cards ticket and I left them on the Dashboard of my convertiable. The problem was when I came back I had four tickets on my dashboard.

How Does THIS HAPPEN?

When it rains it pours.

Many on the Arizona Cardinals must have been thinking about that old cliche during  a soggy Sunday afternoon at CenturyLink field, where the Seattle Seahawks defeated — or some would say destroyed — the Cardinals, 58-0.

The 58-point spread set a Seattle Seahawks franchise record for the biggest point differential in team history. It also set a Cardinals record for worst loss in franchise history.

And for an Arizona Cardinals team that came into the game 0-8 in the team’s last eight games, the Seahawks didn’t let up from the moment Steven Hauschka booted a 31-yard field goal to put the Hawks up 3-0 in the first quarter.

The Seahawks dominated in nearly every category. The team had 22 first downs to the Cardinals 10. Marshawn Lynch rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns, compared to Arizona runningback William Powell’s 20 yards on five carries. Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson went 7-for-13 with a passer rating of 88 compared to John Skelton’s passer rating of 18.

But most stunning was the difference in turnover ratio. Skelton threw 4 interceptions, including a pick-6 to cornerback Richard Sherman in the second quarter, and the team lost four fumbles in a game were the ball certainly never bounced the Cardinals’ way. The Hawks NFC West division rivals never even made it into the Red-Zone.

After Sherman’s interception return for a touchdown, the Seahawks hardly looked threatened. The Hawks scored 28 points in the second quarter alone, including a Malcolm Smith fumble recovery for a touchdown, a Wilson TD pass and a Marshawn Lynch TD run.

Hawks fans even got their first taste of off-season free-agent signing Matt Flynn after Russell Wilson was pulled out of the game in the third quarter. Flynn went 5-for-9, passing for 68 yards and no touchdowns.

In the one touch of bad news, Wilson’s streak of interception-less games came to end when he was picked off at the end of the first half.

The Hawks (8-5) will face off against the Buffalo Bills (5-8) Dec. 16 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

November is over.

Well here we go. I am wondering what the results of the campgins that were going on. I am sure that many people were lighting up their best cigars to celebrate their

victories. I am tired of politics that it seems that we have an odd people who are voting themselves money. At least that is what the exit polls tell us. Which I find to be really sad.

Have a most happy day.

Mac Pro Made in USA?

Will the Mac Pro be MADE IN THE USA?

During his interview with Brian Williams, Tim Cook revealed that Apple is planning on bringing some of its Mac production back to the United States. Cook did not reveal which of the Mac lines would be part of the $100 million investment, but speculation has named the Mac Pro as the likely suspect.

Fortune has rounded up all of the current thoughts on why the Mac Pro is the only viable candidate:

-A $100 million factory, Dan Luria, a labor economist at Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center told Bloomberg, employs about 200 people and produces about 1 million units per year

-Last year, Apple sold 18 million Macs, including 13.5 million MacBooks and 4.6 million desktops (iMacs, minis and Mac Pros). Only the Mac Pro and mini sell fewer than 1 million per year, and the Mac Pro is considerably heavier and more expensive to ship

-Apple, through a spokesperson and through Tim Cook himself, has already indicated that it will be producing a new Mac Pro in 2013

-Any extra labor costs associated with manufacturing in the U.S. can be more easily absorbed by a $2,500-$3,800 Mac Pro than by a MacBook or an iMac that sell for $1,000 to $1,300.

-Mac Pros are easier to build and customize than any other Apple product
Earlier this year, after a minor update to the Mac Pro was announced at WWDC, Tim Cook confirmed to a fan that new Mac Pros were coming in 2013, which was later reiterated by an Apple spokesman. The 2013 Mac Pro could be the first to carry the "Made in the USA" label, if current speculation is correct.

Union Fail

I am not a fan of unions at all.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/11/22/union-black-friday-walmart-fail

In an inspiring example of Union Fail, the planned union walkout on Walmart during Black Friday led off with a one-employee walkout at a Walmart in St. Cloud, Florida on Wednesday. The walkout was led by – and entirely constituted by – Vanessa Ferreira, 59. She told her manager that she was going on strike. The other workers watched her leave, shrugged, and went back about their business. The police then warned Ferreira for trespass.
Ferreira has worked for Walmart for eight years in the cakes department, where she decorates cakes. But she says that her wages are too low – at nearly $12 per hour – to survive on. Which, of course, begs the question of how she’s been living on those wages for eight years.
“They pay low wages, then the taxpayers pick up the tab for food stamps and Medicaid,” said Ferreira. “They need to take care of their people. They need to be responsible to their workers.”
Huffington Post tried to champion Ferreira as a brave soul:

Whatever strikes hit Walmart stores this Friday, it's likely only a small, perhaps miniscule fraction of the retailer's 1.4-million member U.S. workforce will take part. And though news footage may show boisterous gatherings by activists outside stores, the more daring acts of protest will have been undertaken by individual workers like Ferreira who walk out when there are no TV cameras around. In recent days, it became clear that if she went on strike she would probably do so alone.

But even Ferreira acknowledges that the other Walmart employees say she doesn’t speak for them, and are annoyed by her theatrics.

Getting Ready

One of the things that we are having to deal with a teachers are new ways of presenting ourselves. One of the new is to design a flyer and the use catalog printing online to have a great flyer to use at an interview.

I am working on designing a new for the next job season which is coming up soon. Even though it is only November, I am already looking forward to next year.

Have a great day.

Police getting out of hand.

Well the police around the world are getting more out of hand.

8:35 AM
Copyright enforcement might be getting out of hand in Scandinavia. As anti-piracy groups and copyright owners continue to work with authorities to curtail piracy in the region, police this week raided the home of a 9-year-old suspect and confiscated her “Winnie the Pooh” laptop. TorrentFreak reports that the girl’s home was raided after local anti-piracy group CIAPC determined copyrighted files had been downloaded illegally at her residence. Her father, the Internet service account holder, was contacted by CIAPC, which demanded that he pay a 600 euro fine and sign a non-disclosure agreement to settle the matter. When the man did not comply, authorities raided his home and collected evidence, including his 9-year-old daughter’s notebook computer. So what exactly happened here?

According to TorrentFreak, the girl tried to download a number of songs by Finnish pop star Chisu using The Pirate Bay, where she was led after searching for the songs on Google (GOOG). The downloads failed, according to the girl’s father, and the two went to a local store the following day to purchase a Chisu album. ISPs working with CIAPC flagged the activity, however, and the group’s anti-piracy procedures went into effect.

“I got the feeling that there had been people from the Mafia demanding money at the door,” the girl’s father said when recounting the police raid. “We have not done anything wrong with my daughter. If adults do not always know how to use a computer and the web, how can you assume that children or the elderly – or a 9-year-old girl – knows what they are doing at any given time online?”

He continued, “This is the pinnacle of absurdity. I can see artists are in a position, but this requires education and information, not resource-consuming lawsuits.”

Clothes of Things

Well I am looking at getting some new plaid shirts at dungarees.net as reminder of the historical dungarees. They were used orginally by the people going out west in covered wagons.

I am just amaed at how much clothing has changed over the years and yet oddly enough the same. I mean we still have pants and shirts with sleeves.

Well I hope you have a great day.

College Slashes Hours Cause of Obamcare

This is why we need to get rid of Obamacare.

From: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/11/21/Surprise-PA-College-Slashes-Hours-To-Avoid-Obamacare

Pennsylvania's Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) is slashing the hours of 400 adjunct instructors, support staff, and part-time instructors to dodge paying for Obamacare.
"It's kind of a double whammy for us because we are facing a legal requirement [under the new law] to get health care and if the college is reducing our hours, we don't have the money to pay for it," said adjunct biology professor Adam Davis.
On Tuesday, CCAC employees were notified that Obamacare defines full-time employees as those working 30 hours or more per week and that on Dec. 31 temporary part-time employees will be cut back to 25 hours. The move will save an estimated $6 million.
"While it is of course the college’s preference to provide coverage to these positions, there simply are not funds available to do so," said CCAC spokesperson David Hoovler. "Several years of cuts or largely flat funding from our government supporters have led to significant cost reductions by CCAC, leaving little room to trim the college’s budget further."
The solution, says United Steelworkers representative Jeff Cech, is that adjunct professors should unionize in an attempt to thwart schools seeking similar cost-savings efforts from avoiding Obamacare.

"They may be complying with the letter of the law, but the letter of law and the spirit of the law are two different things," said Mr. Cech. "If they are doing it at CCAC, it can't be long before they do it other places."

Under the new CCAC policy, adjunct professors will only be allowed to teach 10 credit hours a semester. Adjuncts are paid $730 per credit hour.
"We all know we are expendable," said Mr. Davis, "and there are plenty of people out there in this economy who would be willing to have our jobs."

Boots

One of the fun things that I like is  that is worn. Thinking of how it all came to be. The clothing came from the world kings, queens, and lords. I am amazed at how it all comes together. One of the other things is boots. What other surprises me is that American style cowboy boots really did not ever make the cross over.

Oh well born to be mild.

I hope that you have a really great day.

My Histoy Prediction

So here I am on my  platform beds los angeles thinking about this election.

Here is my best guess. Romney is going to win in a landslide of electoral votes. And yet he may lose the popular vote.

That is a harsh prediction. The reason is simple. Obama has the most populas states locked up. These include California, New York, and Illinois. He has New Jersery right up there.

If these states break 70% for Obama. Then Mittens could lose the popular vote.

Have a good day.

My Big Campus

I am ready to scream. I really mean it. I have to use Mybigcampus at school and it is one giant flop. There is nothing that makes it great.

It is like trying to find commercial real estate attorney raleigh nc without some real help and advice.

I mean every time they try to make it better, something gets broken. I really do not like this anymore. I try to use my Mac at home, so I can use a real computer and I am hassled by the web app. I mean really guys.

just once I want a program to work.

Have a good day.

Watching A Football game Again

Oh what fun seeing a high school football game again. This time i was in the crows nest or the press boxes to watch the game.

Though I have to confess that they were more fun when I was in high school. I watch and wonder and think of the song Glory Days by the Boss. I see the kids playing and wonder is the best you will ever be and will this be the one thing you talk about. I hope not for their sake.

Have a good day.

May the odds

be ever in your favor.

Love it when a new movie comes out. I am watching The Hunger Games right now. This is a fun movie and I love the story.

This is a fun movie that is kind of odd and how it works. Well I hope that you have a great. I am going to go finish watching a movie about teens killing each other for sport.

Common Core

Well with school starting I am really tired of prepping for school. I have spent three weeks doing it then I found out I was doing it mostly wrong. I mean with the common core I felt like I needed taylor of old bond street just to figure it out.

I mean here I am all ready to go and wham hit with a huge change. This common core stuff is okay but it is confusing to say the least. I have a four days and a steep learning curve.

Have a great day.

That time again

I am so exicited. I am back to teaching history again. I love teaching history. This year though I have to english also. I gots all certified up for anglish over the past year. No comes the time for students and lesson plans. There are many things I do not like about teaching, mostly the extra junky things you have to do. But I love teaching.

Well I hope that you have a good day.

Kids Jamming

My son is a great fan of the DELETE which I thought was a little funny. But he started playing music and he does quite well. He has even gone out and bought sheet music to the ukulele and now him and my daughter who plays the piano play together.

It is quite a joy to watch them jam together for hours on end. They did very little else together but play

I hope you have a really good day.

Lincoln Coming to Life.

I like movies that deal with historical items. Daniel Day Lewis is going to be working toward a movie on Lincoln with Spielberg directing. IF you look at Daniel Day Lewis he looks great as Lincoln.

The First Publicity Shot Released of Lincoln Movie

I am really looking forward to seeing the movie

Have a great day.

Trash Cans.

One of the fun things to look at in history is furniture. I wonder what future people will think about furinture of today. Everything from DELETED to formal couches. I just wonder what things will end up.

I mean there are other little things that will be part for future historians. Archeology is a really great thing.

I hope that you have a really good day.

Who is Robin Hood?

Who is Robin Hood?  What did Robin Hood Actually Do?

I have read that Obama is trying to say, as the democrats usually do, that Republicans are the anti-Robin Hood.

Robin Hood stole from who? He took the tax money that seized by a brutal overbearing and repressive government. HE took the tax money from the government and returned the money to the people who earned the money.

Robin Hood did not take privately held money (the rich) and give the poor that is a misnomer at the very best.

The story of RH? Taxation is evil and the tax money should be given back to those who actually earned the money.

So please who is who in the story?

Writing Music.

So my daughter is having a good time learning music theory. I am sure the next thing she will want is something or another to help her right music.I have to confess that she is getting good. Her desire is to write music for a soundtrack for a a movie.

So I have suggested that she watch a movie she does not know and not listen. So she has a movie with only subtitles on.

Kinda been fun.

Have a great day.

Sheen on Anger Management

I have been watching the TV show called Anger Management. Charlie Sheen though only manages to play on person. A crackhead slut. Oh wait that might emplain a few things.

That is what Charlie Sheen is. Now we understand why only plays that one TV and why he will fail. I know it is funny, but it really gets old.

Have a great day.

Rollercoster.

This is something that I have never found out before. Some kid got hit in the face by a bird while on roller coster. I have always wondered why this does not happen on a regular basis. I mean the seats with the leather furniture dye on the seats. As things out Fabio once got nailed by a bird on roller coaster.

History is A Funny Thing

History is a really odd thing. We sometimes get caught up with pre-given history that we miss what the real history has actually been.

What I mean is that we do not know what really happened or why. And we move into history with the idea of what happened but we really have no clue. The prime example on this is the internet.

Have a great day

Changing the Game

Now that school season is finally here, I cannot wait for classes to start, my son wants to but some Nike Football Gloves something about making his game better.

Now I feel old and think uhm, we never had those and somehow we all managed to play the game without a problem. Makes me wonder how much equipment has actually changed the game. I know it has for golf.

Well I hope that you have a really good day.

Something I like to Collect

One of the things that I like to collect is coins. I find the DELETE   as well as ancient coins. I really like ancient coins and have many from the first century and even  earlier. These are really amazing to hold and see the students eyes light up with amazement and awe at holding something so old.

Hope you have a good day.

Economic growth

I am a fan of many things. One of the funny things that I have found is the ability to buy more expensive things is an economic for all people.

As an example rings have moved from silver to gold to titanium wedding bands which shows as the ealthier get wealthy the poor get wealthier. Sort of an odd thing if you know what I mean.

I hope that you have a really good day

American's First Slave Owner

So what can a sterling silver necklace  buy you these days? Lots. But what is more valuable. Knowledge.

Did you know that a many by the name of Anthony Johnson was America's first slave holder. Did you also know that he was black. He came to America like many people an indutured sevent, which is one step above a slave. He gained freedom and was ruled to be the owner of another person. A slave owner in VA became what is known as the first in the US.

Of course this does not fit with the PC crowd. And for the record he was not the last.

Changes Coming

Well here I am thinking how items like Obamacare will change things like life insurance no exam. There are many things that I would like to see the eventual outcome.  However, the SCOTUS is set to give decesion on Monday. THis will be intresting to see what happens in the long term.

I hope you have a great day.

Future

Well here we go. I am looking at the fiture and seeing that the audio rack
will be starting in and loud up on the stuff. I am not a fan of many things that will go on come novermember. I am just waiting for the election to be over. I mean really the election is quite boring and just seems to go on for a long time.

I hope that you have a really good day.

Water

One of the more intresting things in history was the use of water fountains.

Muslims were quite found of them as water to spare was a sign of great wealth. This has always been true.

look at the Romans. They piped in water for 100s of miles away. And they had tons of fountains in Rome. This again at a time when good water was somewhat hard to find.

Have a great day.

Finding the RIght Thing

So some people at church just got engnaged. Well my wife starts thinking we need to find some gifts for newly engaged couples.

Okay but what, and she wants me to think of something. I always suggest something that is personalized. So she starts searching and searching. And by the time she is done there is another $150 I have to pay. If only she went somewhere cheaper. Where could that be. See link above. Of course my comment was: who are these people.

Have a good day.

Finding Work

I have been looking for work for a bit now.
as a teacher this has been one mad rush, I feel like I need help
Now we get news that all reported job numbers from the last two months were mostly made up. So whatever gains happned this week have been wiped out from the corrections. As a matter of of fact the experts this week preidcted that there would +150K jobs. There were actually +69K jobs. This means they over predictred by twice.

I hope you have a good day and good lick out there.

One Tank

Here is something fun. A couple has set a world record on a single tank of gas. Going from houston landscaping to sterling VA and driving 1626 miles on a single tank. While many are at odds with the story. I see it as possible.

Three days driving: two days of warming engine up. Nice weather, no AC, keep windows up  lack of real stop go traffic.

New car. and drive along the coast so no mountains.

I think it can be done.

Monday, May 7, 2012

Full Speed to November.

Here we go. As we try to turn the knobs for the next election needless to say people are getting up in arms about everything.

Now that Mittens is the GOP nominee and Barack Obama has finally officially announced to a mostly empty stadium in Ohio.  The top level was not filled at all. They had planned on standing room only and hand some small group.

Just finding many funny things.
Well I hope that you have a really good day.

Tuesday, May 1, 2012

Well another drive is history. I am so sick of electronics junk failing on me. I may have one or two more times of hitting the drive before it croaks. So now I have to buy a new. I am looking at the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk 2 TB FireWire 800 USB 2.0 External Hard Drive for Mac STBC2000101 Which is nice as it will give me a 1/2 T more of disc space. Of course at the same time I will also order this book which I need for a teacher test Poetry Classics Well that about sums it up. I opw you have great dat.

Stuff For Mom

Well here I am at this time of year where I have to find some birthday gifts for best mom and I am not sure. I found an antique French vase that my mom would like. There are many things that I think my mom will like as she loves history and movies. So maybe I can find some old props that she would like. I like getting items that are things that she likes. Have a really good day.

Doing Things RIght

Gotta love music and howit affects people and what people think of themselves and society. I like items on the modern side DELETE
  instruments.

If you ever get the chance to go to a classical performance that uses period music pieces it is well worth going to and listening. The music is just a smidge difference and sounds really good. Well worth the time.

Well I hope that you have a really good day.

Older TV shows

One of the funnier things that I have seen more recently is old episodes from 1988 of Mission Impossible. They were recently on DVD. The updates look like silliness from the 60s. At least in the 60s they knew they were not able to do cutting edge.

Seems like the 80s they thought they were sooooooooooo hip. and so techno savvy. That stuff would not improve. I would like to send them a  wine gift basket so that they feel better.

Well have a good day.

FInding Pleasure

One of the things I would like if I ever get quite a bit of money. I would like to own some real estate by the ocean.

That is why I have been looking at the  SERP. That I would like to aquire for my own. I mean anything to overlook the ocean. That is the one thing that I really miss . . . the ocean. I miss the feel and the sounds of the ocean.

Well I hope that you have a great day.

App Problems

I love stories that are going to make people in the future look back at us and wonder. It seems that there are kids racking up lots of bills in app game causing parental units to need a car title loans Florida.

What I find funny is that like most people I need a password to download more stuff. Are we implying that parents gave kids the password? What a bunch of . . . hehehehehe. Family blog better not say it.

Well Have a Good Day.

The Light Bulb.

What a great concenpt of new jersey electricity with the great city of Menlo Park.

Menlo Park? You ask? Yes that is where Thomas Edison invinvted the light bulb. What I find funny is that it is not really highlighted there nor in Edison, NJ.

It is like this famous son is nowhere to be mentioned. Yes there is a few things but nothing like you find inthe midwest of someone that famous was worked there.

Well thank you Mr. Thomas Edison for your great invention.

Have a great day.

Hiroshima

So shuffling through on reddit through the various items of apidextra review and other such things, what I did notice is that someone found out and then gets down voted harshly: Before the Nuke Bombs that we dropped in Japan that we told the people to leave the city.

I always find it odd that people forget this little fact. I always wonder why. Then when people are told today they get mad.

Have great day.

Finding Fauly.

Here is some thing that is fun. Ludwig Van Beethoven mother had VD. She passed it to her son who would have benefited from Gonorrhea testing and of course from medical science that we have today.

One of the funny things though is I work with a kids. They were not worried about anything till someone came in and told them to be worried. They all got tested and good news is only one needed a shot. Not bad based on collective history.

Well I hope that you have a good day.

Decorate the classroom.

One of the things that kids like in my classroom is the military models that I have in my room.

For whatever reason they love the planes and tanks. Not to mention the ships that I have.

Worst part is that I had some of my really early ones in the classroom that were not so good. So I redid several of the oldest ones and they were really good.

Well I hope that you have a good day.

Tuesday, February 7, 2012

A Few Years From Now.

One of the odd things that I think we will have in the future looking back is the ability to read data. We can easily read items that are 500 years old. There is no problem. Now what if you need a xbox 360 hdmi cable and have no clue what it is or how to find one.

Just like chats, video chats, emails, will all these survive a few hundred year to be viable for future historians?

Have a good day.

Crazy News In Global Warming

I am surprised of all the news on global warming. While the arizona pool fence is nice and staying warm. I am seeing a transition.

Right now there seems to be a difffering with a -50 degrees in Fairbanks Alaska. Now others are saying there is a min-ice age next. The Wall Street Journal had a op-ed on the fakes of global warming.

Well stay warm or cool out there.

Having Fun

While my wife was grabbing her nursing scrubs she was talking about settled science. We talked for a bit and admitted that if there is settled scicne can she agree to accept it.

She said yes and eager to do so.

I point out that for over 1000 years the settled science showed that the earth was the center of the universe. Or what we call a geocentric universe. Needless to say she dropped her point.

Personal Milestone.

Here is one for my own personal history. I have been so busy working on restaurant loans that this is the first time since the mid 70s that I have not seen at least one movie up for academy awards Best Pict cat.

Steve

Wow I am have been listening to the Steve Jobs biography. It is just amazing, sort of like when I had to do some cd duplication services. Steve was truly a one of kind who Thought Different.

It just amazes me how much control he wanted and how well he did everything. And amazed at how he did things. I would hate to have been a waiter for him.

Well I hope that you have a super day. And have a happy new year.
